Super awesome deal! 4GB sticks are out on desktops and I'm guessing notebooks will follow with the new processors and 64bit Windows. Maybe that's why the prices are slowly dropping.

It will work on your laptop, and I think it's a very good deal. I bought a 2GB(2X1GB) from Newegg about two months ago and paid around $55.00.
