Don't know if anyone posted this here yet, but although this discount is not supposed to work on XPS's, it does, I've used it already and my new m170 is in boxing right now (crosses fingers). Hopefully it will not get cancelled!
Here's the code: ?FK9VTZX?XQX4L
It expires 2/23.

Thanks, now I'm debating if I should wait for the dual core 640m, or get a hell of a configured m140 with this code.

I am not sure if the fatwallet.com gets you a 3% discount too.
If it works it will save you a couple of bucks.
Remember if you want 2GB of RAM get it aftermarket from Newegg.com and the HDD too. You can save some cash that way too. -
Wow, this is insane! I just configured the same system I purchased through another vendor and it's totalling $2,616.00 with the coupon!!
When I orignially configured on Dell it was $3,800+ I got it for $3,181.00 through the Army/Air Force Exchange site (AAFES). Now Dell has it for $2,616!!
Problem now is, AAFES told me I have to return the system to Dell or not except delivery (expected delivery 20 Feb). By the time Dell excepts return, credits AAFES, and AAFES credits me, this pricing most likely won't be the same. I'm screwed! -
What should I do?
I am still in the 21 day return policy throught dell outlet.
I have a xps m140 with 1.86ghz, 512mb of ram, 80gb of hard drive, truelife (the manufacture that people are NOT having problems with), windows xp home and It is "ordered new" from dell outlet, 9 cell primary battery, 1 year in home warrenty. It came to with shipping $999.18
I can get xps m140 with 2ghz, 1gb of ram, 100gb of hard drive, truelife ( I probably will not be as lucky and will receive problematic samsung screen), 9 cell primary batter, 2 year in home warrenty. It comes to $1,721.06 shipped minus the $650 compon comes to $1071.06. The only problem is when I type in the coupon code it says "Coupons Entered
The following coupons have been entered but require additional information or do not meet eligibility requirements. Click "View Details" link(s) for more information.
Select Inspiron affiliate offer save $650 off $1999 + (Affiliate only)
Expires Thursday, February 23, 2006 View Details Remove Coupon"
So, if I could get this coupon working since you guys said it will work on xps m140 then what should I do? -
You need to configure the system over $1,999 to use this coupon. For the configuration you entered, try this one and see if it works: V8PKH1PZJ3G?DN. It's only $500, but it works for SELECT Inspiron Notebooks over $1,599.

I just tried the $500 coupons on your configuration for the M140. It works.

I just tried the ?FK9VTZX?XQX4L ($650) coupon today for the XPS M170 and it looks like it doesn't work any more.
Leeer, did you still get your system, or did it cancle? -
I ordered this system with the coupon on 2/16. As of that evening it went into boxing. I checked again the next morning and it went back to "in production". It wasnt' in the "kitting" stage yet. Today is 2/18 and still no change. I am a little worried, but I'll let you know what happens! -
Please keep us posted and if you DO get your system, lets us know what you think.
-
I just checked Dell, says my laptop was shipped!!!!! I hope the status doesn't change again!!!
-
Okay, well I got the FedEx tracking # so I guess everything went through. I'll let you guys know what I think when I get it!
-
Thanks for the coupon I just placed a order for my sister. Crossing my finger hopes it doesn't get cancelled -
FYI, $650 discount on XPS m170 and 140
