Some people rave about this series, but I never watched it. Any good?

Oh, it's definitely worth it. And, Nathan Fillion (played Captain Malcolm Reynolds) from the series is now on ABC's Castle (good show).

You should also catch Serenity (continuation of FF)..good one! ;)

Love it love it love it. Bought this Blu-Ray series already. I want to watch it again. So so so sad the series got scrapped because the folks at FOX didn't have a clue what they were doing. But anyhow I digress.

Firefly is the type of show that would resurrect TV IMHO.

It was witty, gritty, and I actually identified and cared about the characters.

Its like the original star wars with a wild-west feel and minus all the whine-fest of Hamil's Luke.

They even poke fun at stupid TV conventions... like cursing in a non-existent language so you get the point but it doesn't have to be bleeped.

Walmart has it for $31.50 w/FreeShip2Store for pickup. You just pay sales tax.

Right. I liked all the snarky comments and interaction between the characters. There were just so many possibilities, I could see it not getting boring for at least a few seasons. So much more interesting than anything that's out there right now.
