Hey guys, Newegg.ca opened and I was just wondering if anyone's checked out the prices yet and have drawn any initial conclusions about their pricing?

For myself, I just looked up Acer Aspire One and .ca doesn't even have them yet...

I think the prices seem a bit higher and selection seems a bit smaller than on ncix but hopefully that'll change. A lot of the things sold on newegg.com aren't sold on newegg.ca which is a bit weird I think.

They are using UPS. Shipping costs are insane. I'll stick with NCIX and DirectCanada.

I wanted to buy the orange box because of the $15 thanksgiving rebate but shipping is $16. Just for comparison, it cost me $24 to send my laptop in the same city with canada post expeditied.

With the ridiculous pricing on some items and the insane shipping cost, I think Newegg is making pretty clear, they don't want our business. I guess all the hype was too much for Newegg to live up to.

I disagree... NE is still king in my book with pricing and customer service. Maybe you could give examples of this pricing and shipping cost hike? I dont see it...
