I saw this on Slickdeals yesterday. I want to get iPod touch in the next week and I'm trying to choose between the $25 Amazon GC, $30 BestBuy GC, or the $205 Target sale. Amazon would yield the best deal when you account for price and GC. With BestBuy though I could have my iPod touch today, no waiting. Target I'm not committed to putting money toward either Amazon or BestBuy later. I'll probably have to go with Amazon though since at BestBuy and Target I'd have to pay tax which would kill the deal. And besides I can always spend that GC on MP3s. LOL Alternatively I could just buy a Macbook and get the free iPod touch since I'm a student and then sell the Macbook at my student discount price and keep the touch. Lot of money to fork out that way. What to do, what to do? Rep for posting.

I ended up just buying one from a reputable dealer on eBay for $178 + $10 S&H. Saved $4 that way plus $14 Bing CB. I guess I can that money to pay for the OS update and a case to put it in. *Sigh* Now to play the waiting game.

 

That's a good marketing idea on Amazon's behalf...since you can't sell an iPod cheaper than other retailers, it gets you a discount in a sense, plus you'll have to go back to Amazon and most likely spend more cash when using the GC...not a bad deal either!

Yeah, it would be great if Amazon has got this promotion going on right now. Unfortunately, this deal has already ended on June 20, 2009.
