    Fulton Bank is running a promotion now through March 31, 2012 where if you open a new checking account with them, you will receive a free Kindle Fire. There are a few hoops to jump through, nothing major, so for those looking to get their hands on a half decent tablet for free, here's your chance.

    This offer may be more accessible to those that live in PA, NJ, MD, VA and DE, although there's nothing in the fine print that mentions out of state applicants not being able to take advantage of this promotion.

    Anyway, here's the breakdown of what you need to do in order to get your free Kindle Fire:

    1) Open a new retail checking account between February 19, 2012 and March 31, 2012
    2) Establish direct deposit of $250 or more within 60 days of account opening
    3) Enroll in Online Banking with Bill Pay and making three bill payments within 90 days of account opening

    The direct deposit requirement, such as Social Security, pension or payroll must be completed within 60 days of account opening. Qualifying payments are defined as any payments made using Fulton Banks' online bill payment service. Payments to yourself do not qualify. Once the above requirements are met, a Kindle Fire will be mailed out to you in 6-8 weeks.

    Fulton Bank is a regional bank with offices in PA, NJ, MD, VA and DE.

    Awesome, if only i had a job :(. Other banks might be doing this as well. I remember a few weeks i was looking for a kindle fire on CL in phoenix,AZ and someone contacted me trying to sell theirs cheap because they got it for free from a bank. But who knows, it was CL after all :p
