This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I called into Dell today looking for the backpack deal and they told me that they have none left. Is that believable? or they just trying to save an extra 50 bucks?

    it was for the month of june and when i asked yesterday it was only on solo procesor notebooks.
    another note...There was a link in the forums for a buildable inspiron w/ a 35% off discount. I built a computer in the morning, but when i went to go order it in the evening, it had changed to 27%. I asked the guy at dell and he just said they will change things in the middle of the day sometimes...sucks

    call back in and tell them that they are supposed to have free backpacks for notebooks ordered in July, and if they won't send you one you'd like a concession coupon for the value of the backpack.
