The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    It looks like you can download Tiberian Sun + Firestorm, Tiberian Dawn GDI + NOD, and Red Alert Allied + Soviet all for free. I'm not too sure, but I think this might be permanent. I've heard some of these were already converted to freeware for quite a while now.

    I haven't played Tiberian Sun or Tiberian Dawn before, but Red Alert was pretty fun. Even though the newer Red Alerts have better graphics and more units, there's just something so satisfying about teleporting a battleship onto land on top of a group of people and crushing them... I am pretty damn evil.

    Yup they're changed to freeware. I believe the original C&C series was changed about three years ago. This is pretty awesome considering they're wrapping it all up with C&C4 soon.
