    I'll give WinX DVD a try. I have been using DVD Flick, its free open source and rated to be one of the best. My only qualm is it is not multi core when encoding. I suppose that doesn't matter just the compatibility and quality is though.

    So here is hoping WinX DVD does both.

    I'll try and give it a real life test later today, I have a few movies and a whole stack of blank dvds.

    Would be interesting to take some of my gameplay videos from FRAPS and put them on dvd :D

    I've already ripped a few DVD's and converted them to ipod format and watched them too. This software is really good. HIGHLY recommended!!!

    I set the program to shut down my laptop when it's done ripping & converting to mp4 format before I go to sleep.
