My friend just ordered an e1505, so I decided to help him out and give him a 750 off coupon code (or basically just show him where they are, as in right here on NBR). I told him instead of doing the EPP (for those who don't know, either education discount via your university or employee discount) thing, go through home, because the 750 off is much more than the 12% off they give in EPP. instead, he calls dell, orders through EPP, and somehow, the guys over the phone give him the 750 coupon AND an additional 12% off.
Moral of the story: if you have the option through a university or employee program to do EPP, call and see if you can attach a coupon to the already 12% off. Just heckle a bit and say you're not interested if you can't. I only wish I had done the same...![]()

Thats strange because the $750 off coupons don't work on the Dell EEP site. I'm not sure if the sales rep on the phone knew what he was doing

yea, they don't work on the website, that's the strange part. which is also why my jaw dropped when he told me, but apparently even the sales rep was amazed at the discount he was giving them. i think someone, somewhere is a very unhappy manager right now...

well it wouldnt have made any difference at least right now.. dell is offering 35% off plus the 12% for the e1505 with an epp acount.. and a $100 mail in rebate.. **** good deal..
