Amazon.com: ASUS G73JW-A1 Republic of Gamers 17.3-Inch Gaming Laptop (Black): Computer & Accessories: Reviews, Prices & more
Lol. I think someone's made a mistake...
-
whats funny about it is it actually has the You Save: $1,643.01 (91%).
It even comes with a bag and mouse lol! -
It might be one of the G73's that has a couple issues and they have adjusted the price to compensate the buyer a head of time
I was going to buy a lenovo next , now ....It's tempting
I will have to think about this -
Just ordered one to see what will happen. I'm expecting an order cancellation email shortly...
-
i ordered one as well.
make that 3. -
they just put it back up to the right price. lol my friend and i ordered already, my other friend... too late.

I expedited mine and only ordered one in hopes that it gets shipped quickly. Their system is automated so it might slip through. The fact that J&R actually handles this item makes it an extra hurtle to jump through so I'm still expecting the order to be canceled. -
i just did it for s and giggles.
-
looks like they have almost 4 days to hold off on the shipping, not gonna go through lol.
-
Id say go for it.
Its possibly a black friday glitch. -
My credit card was just charged. One step closer...
-

It looks like a reasonable deal , even if you have to pull it apart and repaste
Thanks again OP , I am going to have a chat will Deals now , I think he is letting us down here -
OMG what a deal!
"Reasonable" ?! It's $1500 off!! I am holding my fingers crossed for you guys!
Apparently it was on "sale" (lol?) for $155. The current price is around $1750. -
Too Funny! -
I do worry about them charging you the other 1500$
-
hm, i see it everytime. weird.
and there's no way for them to charge you more, because I sold stuff on amazon.com before, the account lets you either cancel it with a reason notice, or add shipment detaisl nothing more or less. (well also lets you email the buyer). -
Damn just got home from work. I ordered one just to see if it will go through.
-
i don't know what's wrong with your account.
my bank statement for the 2 orders
CHECKCARD CHECKCARD ON MKTPLACE PMTS
AMZN.COM/BILL WA
-$311.98
and
AMAZON MKTPLACE PMTS $155.99
pending for both. -
Man, you crack me up. It's either going to happen or not, there's no need to stress on it. I think there's less than a 1 percent chance of the deal happening anyways. Just go to sleep and see what happens in the next few days...
-
Man, if anyone bought extras, I'll buy one for $500.
-
Interested to see if these ship or not.
-
Well, the price has definitely changed, back to 1,724. I'm guessing the orders will just be viewed as invalid.
This happened to me on the Toshiba site once, there was a 800 dollar laptop for like 50 bucks! So I nabbed one but they cancel'd the order and gave a refund. -
"Still shows up as nothing in my order." lol you're saying when you go to your Amazon account, nothing shows up? I still have mine (and my friend's) order fine and it says I can't cancel it. (which is normal)
-
nah, amazon does that. if you order something and you wait 10-20 mins, you can't cancel it. they're not actually preparing it for shipment probably.
just tell yourself this. Until you get an e-mail saying Order Shipped, you're not getting it lol -
The will refund you. They can't charge your card without your authorization. You authorized it for $155.99 or expedited shipping. Just calm down and let everything take its course. If you have it in hand, then you'll be fine. Until then just let the internets work their magic.
-
dude ok seriously, they didn't take your ing money. they put a placement/transaction on the card to see if your card could actually pay for it... You will be actually charged when they ship it out. If not, it'll disappear. jesus ing christ. amazon does this for every single order.
your bank statement should say "P" or Pending next to it, that's not even a real charge on your card. Your bank subtracts the amount anyways because usually those Pending transaction actualyl gets credited/debited.
YOU ARE NOT CHARGED YET. DON'T WORRY.
anyway, check their actual site.
http://www.jr.com/asus/pe/ASU_G73JWA1/
it's out of stock on their regular site (their inventory's probably connected to amazon marketplace and what not). that means our orders actually in their system.
hopefully, a stressed out worker who could careless and really tired (because it's friday) decides to ship them out. -
oh btw "While we make every effort to ensure the product information and pricing on JR.com is accurate and current, there may be instances where inaccurate or incomplete data is displayed. In the event item data is incorrect, such as listed with an incorrect price, availability, or with incorrect information, JR.com shall have the right, at our sole discretion, to refuse or cancel any orders placed for that item. In the event an item is mispriced, JR.com, at our discretion, will do one of the following:
If an item is priced lower than the displayed price, you will be charged the lower amount and we will ship the item."
http://www.jr.com/information/help.jsp#pricing -
OK here are the only possible scenarios.
You get an e-mail saying they shipped it:
They charge you whatever shipping you chose + $155 (or whatever it was i forget). Then you get the item.
You get an e-mail saying they cancelled it:
They will cancel the item, and whatever is in the statement will go away after 3-5 business days. -
-
Well hope for the best. By Tonight/Tomorrow morning we'd have our answer.
-
Something interesting...
It says that "If an item is priced lower than the displayed price, you will be charged the lower amount and we will ship the item.".
The retail website aka jr.com displayed the correct price, while Amazon did not. Technically, the item IS/WAS priced lower than the displayed price (on JR.com/ official site)... So we are obliged to be charged the lower amount and shipped the item?
However, in this case, it contradicts with their own policy "While we make every effort to ensure the product information and pricing on JR.com is accurate and current, there may be instances where inaccurate or incomplete data is displayed. In the event item data is incorrect, such as listed with an incorrect price, availability, or with incorrect information, JR.com shall have the right, at our sole discretion, to refuse or cancel any orders placed for that item."
It says incorrect price maybe taken down... Which also contracits with their regular high/low shipping price in general.
Another note is that they first mentioned JR.com (not their JR Marketplace store on Amazon) for their conditions to remove the listed item, etc. And they have no further policies in Amazon (not even the original one, just Return policy).
Interesting no? -
It doesn't contradict.
"If an item is priced lower than the displayed price"
Say the website says product X is $50 and the actual price for the product is $45. For some reason the website is not reflecting the correct price. You will be charged $45.
Let's say the website says product X is $50 and the actual price for the product is $100. The price is not correctly reflected (listed w/ incorrect info., basically the stuff their policy lists) so they can refuse or cancel your order. -
yea the website wasn't wrong amazon was :-/ they mention JR.com, obviously we didn't order this through actual JR.com
-
lol wow im jealous, that will be the steal of the year if you guys get it! keep us updated.
-
I just now found this thread lol. Okay so here's what happened with my case...
i placed an order on SIX of these laptops lol, all for $155.99 each on November 11th. So I jumped for joy and I did my little dance. The next morning I look on my account and it says "Shipping Soon"; however, I click on "View Order Details" and at the bottom it says "Refunds" and my money was refunded I guess.. I call up Amazon and I call up J & R and after multiple disputes and what not they said that they are not sending the laptops for $155.99 each because it was a technical error.
I'm assuming that this is going to happen to everyone who ordered these G73's. I'm a bit disappointing lol -
i just got refunded. LOL it was a nice laugh though hahah
-
Mine was refunded as well, no surprise...
-
it'll say shipping soon. But I doubt it'll ship. My money got refunded, and the order is still on my account and it says shipping soon lol.
-
-
Sometimes these can take up to two weeks to be refunded. If you were worried about not having money for a while, you shouldn't have taken the risk in the first place. Just calm down and take a deep breath. If you are really worried about it, contact Amazon or your bank. -
My money just got refunded.
If you go onto Amazon and under Order Details, and it says Refunds, you will be getting your money back. It can also depend on your bank to get the charge canceled. If it says Refunds at the bottom of your order, the pending charge on your card will go eventually. I bank with Chase, and it took 7 days (albeit 3 business days) to get refunded.
