I got it about 2 hours ago. No time to do anything extensive yet. Can tell you about aesthetics though.

It seems thinner/lighter than the majority (maybe all) of the other 880m rigs. It's about 6-7lbs, when most others are 8lbs or more. It's no ultrabook, it definitely has some substance to it, but at the same time it's about as mobile as you're gonna get with an 880m. The specs are true to the link above, DVD drive instead of bluray, a single 128gb SSD + a 1TB 7200rpm HDD, 8GB of ram instead of 16. But I personally dont watch blurays on my laptop, and I don't use any graphic/video software so the 8GB of ram is enough for me.

It has the yellow lid. It is plasticy, yet still retains a quality feel. The keyboard is nice, chiclet backlit w/ numpad. Seems responsive in my short time with it, no missed keystrokes or anything. The screen is matte, I was impressed with the viewing angles and picture quality. I did play dark souls 2 on high settings for about 20 minutes, it ran flawlessly. Just as well as my GTX 770 / 3770k desktop runs it.

The promo code is gone, but they put it on sale for the same price it was with the promo code. It's a great value compared to what other brands charge for a similar build.

Wow thank you so much for the info. The yellow lid isn't my favorite but the weight and battery life seem to be better than anything else. If it can handle the heat from the 880 it seems like one of the best options out there, aside from the Sager that has much lower battery life.

Haven't tested battery life yet, I'm assuming it's close to the old model though, which was like 4-5 hours normal use, and like 2-2.5 hours of gaming.

Can we get an update to this? Any new information on the build quality of this machine would be extremely helpful. I am trying to decide between this machine and the Razer Blade 14 inch. Thanks!

I would like an update too! Looking at this or the new Origin ultra thin.
