Very hot deal. I was going to purchase it but the taxes in cali killed.

Its a very tempting buy. It seems nice and portable.

Gateways look nice. My brother in law bought one around 6 months ago.
Around 2 months ago it died on him. since then he has had to send it to the warranty depot 4 times and everytime it keeps coming back with new problems. Whoever "fixes" then does not even bother to turn on the laptop to test if it will pass BIOS/POST. Each time he had to pay for shipping to them.
Trust me you want to stay away from Gateway and Acer(who owns Gateway). -

Truth each model has i guess each quality of a notebook. By any chance is there some type of all if you return it ex amount of times you can get a full refund or something? I know there is the limes law with cars I wonder if there is something with computers. -
Hi David,
If you re-read my comment you will realize it's not about build quality. My comment has nothing to do with a particular manufacturer's build.
It is about Gateway's non-existant warranty. Anytime you have to send in your laptop 4 times for warranty repair with it coming back with new problems with some being so blatant like the laptop will not pass POST tells me the warranty is non-existant.
