    I have format my laptop aspire 5540 just now, XP sp 3.but when i install sound driver, it can't detect the pci. last time when i use xp home edition is no problem 1.

    (Audio_Realtek_5.10.0.5202_XPx86)
    what should i do now? my laptop no sound ...

    Did you install the mainboard (are they called chipset?) drivers?

    Half the audio system is part of the mainboard and also needs that driver.
