Seems like a scam, I don't know though. Other than Christopher, post #1 and post #3 appraising him, only have 1 posts each.

    I don't think it's a scam. it's a link to a deal on J&R, which is a well-known electronics company. I just don't think it's that great of a deal personally.

Yeah, J&R is pretty well respected company (although not generally know for selling laptops. They had a similar deal on a slightly older TZ model for $999 a few weeks ago and I haven't heard anyone complaining about it. They're probably just looking to clean out old models to make way for the new ones. If it was after rebate though I'd be a little worried as that's a hunk of change to risk on a rebate.

No rebate. J&R is a known, reputable vendor.
I've purchased from J&R and without any issue.

Nothing to suggest a scam that I can see.

I don't like Sony notebooks so I can't comment on the how good this deal is since I don't follow Sony.

Clearly they marked up the price to $3299 before they cut it lol. It looks as if they cut more that way.

Regardless this is still a good deal. Many people say they even like the looks of the TZ over the newer TT, but the TT has a better processor of course.

J&R was selling a similar version that was at $999 but it was 1.2GHz (vs 1.33 GHz here) and 32 GB SSD (vs 64 SSD here). This one also comes with WWAN.

I agree, there absolutely no way that such a Sony laptop could be worth $3300 USD originally. I've seen these in stores in Canada for $1800 without the SSD. Still, looks like a decent deal.

It's priced at greater than $3300 http://www.computers4sure.com/product.asp?productid=5803362&affid=10000483 at another store. $3475.95
Clearly J&R did not mark up the price to make it look good.
Blame Sony for the high MSRP, not J&R.

Back when the model was fresh on the market and 64GB SSDs were few grand it probably was that price, but now it's nowhere near that price.

Rick, it's mostly because you lack posts. Spammers often sign up on the forums and make one post with a link to their scam, but they're usually promptly removed by mods. You get some posts and reps under your belt and you'll be fine. That and you might consider posting a link directly to the product page, not the deal site as that can be confusing for some. (Although that's not to say you still shouldn't give credit where credit is due.)

The price is $3,299.99 . Thats disgusting. No one gonna pay that for those crap configurations. A 98m SLI laptop will be in my pocket with that money.
