    is this program good tho?
    does it schedule automatic checks or anything like that?
    I'm getting the AVG professional, I thought Home and Office version has an anti-spyware.

    EDIT: my bad...the avg pro posted was only anti-virus.

    That is what the ratings keep saying.

    So far though, it has only detected a bunch of cookies. I guess I need to visit more questionable sites.

    I've used SpySweeper for many years, I stopped last year because I felt no need to renew because on my good av and surfing habits, and as a long time customer I have to say this thing has saved my ass many times. Stupid websites would try installing trojans, this thing caught them. It also deletes lots of bad cookies, and blocks bad websites known to try and install viruses. And for the price, you can't complain.

    AVG provides the former ewido anti-spyware 4.0 under the new product name AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5 which is a free download. However some features get disabled after a 30-day trial period, notably the real-time scanning. As an on-demand scanner however, it is an excellent product.
