Just thought I would give everyone a heads up that Sony is running some back-to-school deals, like all the other manufactorers, right now. They include...

    1) VAIO Campus Value Pack: Choose one of the VAIO Notebooks, 2 accessories, and any one of their extended service plans and get $300 instantly off.

    2) Up to $250 off performance upgrades on customized units: Mostly with upgrading RAM, including WWAN through Sprint, etc.

    3) Upgraded financing available for those that choose to. Normally its 12 months no interest for orders over $299, but right now it is 18 months. Also, free shipping on everything over $200 (again like most manufacturers).

Not sure if this has been posted already nor do I know if this qualifies as a bargin, but I think it does so I thought I would share. I am probably going to try to snag a SZ series.

Do you have a link for deal # 2 ?

EDIT: Found it. Looks like it's not on any of the new models. :(

yeah, it appears that they are doing a major model overhaul for the coming holiday season. It almost looks like the SZ series is being discontinued becuase they have pulled all the pre-configured models off of the website, which should mean that they will drop in price. I plan to make a stop by my local Sony store tommorow to see what they got. I will let y'all know.
