If you're in the states, use CPP and get almost 40% off. In Canada use EPP and get 39% off. You can search for these websites on google.

Well I'm not a contractor so...

Also, would it be recommended that I only buy one gig of ram and upgrade the other 3 myself? Or get one stick of 2gb on my initial order and order another stick of 2gb myself?

Now would be the ideal time to buy a thinkpad. The model is about as bleeding edge as it gets and its cheaper than any competitor including dell.

t400 is among the best laptops for sale and the best deal.

I helped my friend shop for one I cant think of a better investment other than the gateway machine I have now.
If you want a portable machine get a t400 it has it all, led screen battery life multi bay

it may get cheaper but think about this

in about a year the t400 will still be for sale.

It will be for sale with updated components like a faster cpu and a larger hard drive.

It will be discounted a little more

BUT it will be the same machine a year older. youre getting the best deal on the newest thing getting it right now.
Nobody else seems to sell the very newest stuff for cheap cheap like lennovo does at times.
