Creative Labs - Recession Buster Deals (3-Day Sale)
The Audigy 2 NX is a pretty good external USB soundcard (with EAX) for those that want a bit more quality from music and games.

If this had come up a week ago, I would have picked up the headset, rather than the Creative HS-900s I got.
Anyone ever owned both and care to comment? -
The headset is the only deal in my opinion.
(I won't ever use another Creative Sound Card, terrible support and performance.)
I use the Turtle Beach Headset now on my PC, just for ease of use. It was originally for my X Box 360, but works better with PC.
The other headset I used was the Icemat Avalanche...
@ $20 this headset is worth the gamble. -
The headset is probably the hottest deal here.
But some people have been complaining about their on-board sound recently, so I decided to post the Audigy 2 NX for the title. -
Anyone know how the headset performs? The Newegg reviews are all over the place. By that, I mean it's really good or really bad.
-
Reviews are all over the place as well:
http://www.overclockersclub.com/reviews/creative_fatal1ty_review/
http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,1697,2128012,00.asp
But this seems to not be as good as the Sennheiser PC 165 (which is about twice the cost ~ $100) -
Most of the reviews I found seem to be for the gaming headset and the sale is for the pro version. Pro version seems to go for twice as much as the normal version. -
you're right.
the Pro headset reviews all seem positive:

....etc... -
Damnit, it's out of stock. I had one in cart, but couldn't find a checkout button! lol
-
LOL. that sucks.

I actually may get the x-fi xtremem music card for desktops. I used to have one and was very happy with it. I broke mine when I was doing a op-amp mod becasue the soldering was too hard for my tools and skill level. Been using onboard since
BF2142 was never the same without 3dcmss headphones and ultra high quality sounds.
I dont like the idea it says refurbished... but 50$ is not too bad to take a risk and I assume if it was messed up I can return it. Also I thought the extreme music was totally discontinued a long time ago anyways and replaced by the xtreme gamer.
edit: got the xfi extreme music. The X-Fi Prelude I was holding out for is still nearly 200$ and the upgrade in quality is not worth 150$ -
I just ordered the ProdiKeys... going to test it with Nuendo and Cubase.
Looks interesting... and I'm willing to throw out $20 to see if its a good deal. -
=[ out of stock
had to wait for parents to get home to use credit card..lammme
can someone comment on the quality of the HS-900? I might end up getting that instead but man I can't believe it went out of stock so quickly -
Guys guys Pls tell me ASAP which is better for laptop soundcard replacement
XMOD or USB Soundblaster live? -
I have the live version and it's awesome , I can tell you that much.
Don't know about the XMOD, might be a bit better.
