New coupons from HP this week:

    - $450 off select customized HP laptops at the HP Home & Home Office Store. Code: NBQE3876 Available models include HP Pavilion dv7t Quad and all HP ENVY laptops. Limited to 900 uses, expires 1/22.

    - Save an additional $50 off customized HP laptops priced $599+ at the HP Home & Home Office Store, use code: NBH4763. Offer excludes HP g7t and g6x laptops. Expires 1/22 or after 500 uses.

The base Envy 15 price actually drops to $899.99 with the $450 off coupon, first time I've seen it below $900.

Envy laptops are very nice. Noticed that they don't offer Blu-Ray though. Are they using the 9mm DVD drive like in the Envy 14, of which there are no slot load Blu-Ray's 9mm in existence!

I just configured one with quad core and 1080p for $1149. Nice!

The $450 off does not, the $50 off does.

To be fair, that's just the Envy 15 IPS that people are reporting it, the Envy 17 and Envy 15 non-IPS screen (not that you'd really want that) are normal.

hmm. does this code not work on QuickShip models? It is not letting me apply it to a ew HP Envy 15-3040nr. it really would make a great price if it applied it but I can't find any fine print saying quickship is ineligible.

It's CTO (configure to order) models only, so it does not work on the quick ship models unfortunately :(

ah yeah, that makes sense. thanks.

oh well, i customized one with the same specs and the coupon only brings it down to $50 cheaper than the quickship price. and wouldnt even be ready to ship for 2+ weeks. not bad.

now to decide if i want to take the chance on the orange-reds. hmm.
