when I search with firefox it doesn't seem to show up but it did when I used explorer.

Wonder if I could use this on one of the mini netbooks. Anybody see any restrictions?

 

For FF try turning off any AdBlock program you may have running..it likes to block the sponsored results for some reason..

And, no if you are shopping at HP Home there shouldn't be any restrictions on the Mini Netbooks as, the same with the HP Envy! Have fun shopping! XD

I just got it at 25% yet... Not gone.
I used HP Desktop and HP Laptop on both searches..The same way described above.


IE, FF and Chrome showing same results = 25%

Yeah definitely dead, and I feel crushed. It was around 7 I was deliberating on whether or not to get an SSD. I came back at 7:30 and the deal was dead, and I can't in good conscious order one now. It is either back to the ASUS G73JH or wait until it shows up again. How often do they run sales like this?

Got lucky-specced a dv7 for 1500+ and got the discount for a final price of 1150$-this was yesterday.

Hi everyone!

For anyone who is disappointed about missing the Bing cashback (as I was), note HP is now offering instant rebates on its direct shopping site ( shopping.hp.com).

It starts with an automatic $150 instant rebate, and increases depending on what features you get. Click on the "See all offers & deals" links next to each model. I "saved" just over $200 because I also bought warranty, which is 25% off now.

Importantly, the instant rebates will not cancel out the 10% Bing cashback that is still in effect. The 10% will be applied to your after-rebate total. All in all, you might be roughly even with the 25% off deal! I will post the details of my purchase in the owner's lounge, soon as I figure out my way around here.

Apologies for the mysterious appearance. I stumbled in today when I was researching laptops and just wanted to make my little contribution! Hope this helps someone.

EDIT: I already received the Bing cashback confirmation, just a few minutes after placing my order.

The total discount I got was 24.3%, based on a gross HP Direct price of $1,309.98 and a final net price of $992.23. Pretty sweet!

But do they have a REAL gaming laptop with a 5870 or 480m worth a dang? Cuz I would be all over this if they did. especially with EPP or student discount pricing too. (If they allow that and bing).

The Envy 17 has a 5850, probably powerful enough for most people. And they don't allow BCB + EPP/student discount

 

I tried and it only got me 15%, what are you searching on to show the 25%.

Will this work with instant rebates too? I just dont see anywhere that tells me what 'cash back' amount I am going to get from this So I am scared to push the buy button. Also I notice the 18 inchers are cheap cheap...lol..

BTw just as Cin's stated/explained, if you pilot your way through bing (dont use his ficticious link "bingcashbackshopping.com"), but do what it says, you will get to the same place.

 

Ok first, sorry about the bingcashbackshopping.com...I was on my cell phone (as I pointed out)..couldn't remember the exact linkage (will edit my post above)... sorr's.

Now, you need to make sure you have a Bing Account Setup before purchase (Hot Mail/Live Account), also.

If, "Instant Rebates" are availi' on what you are purchasing at point of purchase, then yes they are applicable.

What is not applicable are any Coupons that you, yourself may be applying. Don't use those. That will Cancel/Void out your Cashback.

Here's to hoping it will pop up again before July 31. Seems they do it every 4-6 weeks, so still a possibility. Waiting on it for my Envy 14.

yeah I wanted a mini with a gps but the only one they have with the gps option now is the glossy screen 210hd. glossy screen and outdoors do not work. I have a 17" with a glossy screen and it's useless outside unless at night or a very overcast day under a tree. It's a mirror.
