    The 90 day warranty is a little scary, especially for a notebook, but a it's a good deal for those on a budget or really cheap.

    Yeah...My coworker, her HP went DOA on her..and I'm trying to get her to at least consider this one vs. spending $100 on a used HP Pavilion ze4420US ~ that will come with some *inherited* probs. That $100 she can invest towards this, something more *stable*.

    I bought my HP desktop similarly, refurbed from Frys. It likewise had a 90 day warranty, but on a desktop the build quality isn't as important because you set it and forget it. For around the same price, maybe less, you could get maybe a R60 or a D620/D630 on eBay. They'd get you better quality, but it's always more risky going used since there's no warranty.
