HP Direct Bing Cashback 25% has returned

Dead again. That didn't last long. Back to 5% in both IE and Firefox. Glad I ordered my Envy 14 earlier! FYI, I got my Bing confirmation before I got my HP order confirmation.

AMD Phenom(TM) II Quad-Core Mobile Processor N930 (2.0GHz, 2MB L2 Cache)

 

The P920 is crap, lower than i3s, but the N930 is up there with the high end i5s in multithreaded performance. Definitely worth the $20 upgrade

 

Thanks for the quick reply. I've been always a bit leary of AMD mobile CPU (love their desktop ones, got a Phenom II x4 B55).

Anyways, I think I'll get an Envy 14 as a pseudo impulse buy heh. Trying to decide between the i5-450m or i5-520m. Both are 2.4GHz, but the turboboost is different (450m = 2.66GHz, 520m = 2.93GHz). Anyone know what other difference there is?

Also is the 30% bing cashback taken from the BEFORE tax or AFTER tax price? Thanks in advance!

 

You should all know that the BCB program is ending and you have to use your cash or lose it.

whoa, if you check bing.com and search for "HP Laptop" its back down to 5%?!

That lasted for like an hour.

check it. I did on 2 PCs (IE + FF) and it shows as 5% now but maybe its my cache or something.

 

It is showing 5% for me as well.

 

Hmm, even tho the Bing website says 5% on the banner if you click on it the overlay still shows 30%, give it a try if you want fuzzish.

Make sure to take a screenshot showing the 30% when you login to bing before getting to the HP website. They'll ask for proof such as this when you dispute with Bing.

 

I ordered mine like 15min ago and just got the bing cashback email (I got in on the 30% just before they changed to 5% on the main bing.com page).

 

The cashback is taken off before taxes..

 

Damnit, I think I might've messed up. I opened another window to check if it was still 30%, because I was having delays from credit card issues. Then that window showed 2-5% cash back, which I think might've reset my cookies since when I was going through the checkout process, clicking "Continue" reset me back to my shopping cart. I also never got a screenshot of the 30%.

Edit: Nope. I got the 5%. Damn me and my curiosity. I shouldn't have opened that new window fmlfmlfmlfmlfml!
Okay, back to stalking Bing every half hour for the next few days.

It's 5% if you turn off AdBlock and search "hp laptops", and 2% if you go to shoppping>cashback stores>hp direct. Bummer.

 

11 more days though guys, don't lose hope. I wouldn't doubt if they gave it one last hurrah!

 

I already gave up hope lol. It was causing more mental stress than was worth it (really... $300 or mental sanity. Hmmmmmm the choices).

Either way, I'm really happy with my purchase, and I'll be anxiously waiting for it to ship . And then doubly hoping that nothing ever goes wrong with it because I hate HP and don't want to have to talk to them again !
