    There are 30% off coupons for HP's Dv6t and Dv7t Quad Edition Laptops:

    NB4151 - Dv7t Quad

    For $822 + tax you can get a Dv6t Quad Edition with:
    * Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
    * 2nd generation Intel(R) Quad Core(TM) i7-2630QM (2.0 GHz, 6MB L3 Cache) w/Turbo Boost up to 2.9 GHz
    * 1GB GDDR5 Radeon(TM) HD 6770M Graphics [HDMI, VGA]
    * FREE Upgrade to 6GB DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm)
    * 640GB 7200RPM Hard Drive with HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection
    * 6-Cell Lithium-Ion Battery (standard) - Up to 5.5 hours of battery life +++

    Shame HP doesn't offer better quality / higher res screens.

    Heads up as far as I can tell the dv6tqe NB6171 coupon is dead, you can still use the code: 50TECHBARG to get $50 off though. I also checked the dv7t coupon, it still works for now

    Coupons work again! Also, HP added a 1080p screen option and a 2gb 6770m GPU for both the Dv6 and Dv7!

    That's actually not a bad deal, and I don't say that very often.

    I swear they read these boards! :p

    That's the name of the game unfortunately. :p

    It seems that NB4151 for Dv7t Quad is not working after the refresh of the model :(

    Both seem to still be active. At least NB6171 has had its expiration date extended to 5/25...the second expiration extension.

    It seems the current HP response is that the Xbox deal is not stackable with ecoupons... but hopefully that proves untrue.

    If you go through Shop-Discover (the Discover credit-card website), and pay with a Discover credit card, you can get 5% cash back too.

    Don't forget to manually select the upgrade on the graphics card. It's only $25, and well worth it! Other good options include Bluetooth ($25) and a 6->9 cell battery upgrade ($21). Though the battery will tilt the laptop slightly.

    Watch out for getting a larger screen. If you increase the number of pixels and keep the graphics card the same, game performance will suffer. (Though with a 6770m -- That's still awfully good!)

    You don't have to run in native resolution. Step your resolution down to 1366x768 in the game settings and it will scaleup to 1920x1080 and work just fine with no performance downfalls.

    Yes there will be some amount of blur, but since this particular 1080p screen is a 95%-color-gamut screen and since the DPI is so high, games will actually look better running in non-native resolution on the 1080p screen than in native-resolution on the 1366x768 screen. Do not base your screen decision on gaming.

    Plus it's not worth it to sacrifice something truly useful for productivity just to improve lack of productivity :D (games)
