How are the AMD processors? I'm trying to find a 14.1 inch or smaller notebook for school/work

AMD is lagging quite a bit behind Intel these days. Bit for normal usage they there fine. In regular use the biggest difference you would see would be in battery life (Intel get about a hour more). Take a look at the CPU guide in the Hardware section for more info.

Ok, reason I ask is because I work at Office Depot and I can get another 10% off of the price it's already at, so after rebate I would get the laptop in the high $600, is it a pretty good laptop for that price? I'm just going to use it for school and web browsing. I would wait around for a 14.1" core 2 to go on sale but I doubt I would be able to get it anywhere near the same price?

yeah looks like a good deal. budget laptops are always going to be budget laptops. the longer you wait the better the specs but time > money.

Yea i'm looking for a 13-14" notebook. I just noticed the Dell XPS 1330, looks like a pretty nice notebook, but last time I checked they never have coupons for XPS notebooks? If they had a 30% off 999+ I would snatch that one up
