Note the 512mb memory, 802.11a/b Wireless, and 3 month warranty. Also note that a used laptop will often have crappy battery life.

Also note the Pentium M processor, lol. :D

The TC4200 is still an excellent choice for someone looking for a cheap, reliable convertible tablet PC.

For someone looking for a similar notebook, I'd recommend spending $50-$75 more and searching for a nice used 2510p with C2D ULV CPU. ;)

    I just ordered this off of eBay...getting it on the 10th! (11/10/9 - MW2 Launch! :D).

Got it for 284.34 CAD w/ express shipping. I will post a review as soon as I get it...including Photoshop and ArtRage.

Hardware wise, I know that you can upgrade the processor to a Pentium Dual Core (T2390 1.86ghz (I think)) with 64 bit support!

Are you certain? As far as I know, the TC4200 goes up to M780. The TC4400, however, does go up to the Dual Core options.

I looked into it and it seems that the Pentium M "M" series uses the same socket for as the T2xxx series. No way in heck would it support a Core2Duo but it does support a Pentium Dual Core.

I managed to get a T2xxx (forgot the exact model though, I think it was a T2300) from a Lenovo R60e into my old nc8230. Looking at Intel's site it seems that they socket and FSB are the same. When I get my money together (spent most of it...heh  ) I will order one off of eBay since they are only like $30.

Here is a link to all of Intel's processors, more specifically their Intel Pentium processors for Notebook. As you can see, the T2000 series are listed under the Pentium M Family, and have the 533MHz FSB.

The only problem I have is deciding between the T2080 (With Hardware Virtualization) and the T2390 (With 64bit Support).

The TC4200 uses Socket 479. The first-gen Core Duos and Pentium Dual-Cores use Socket M. They are not the same.

On the left is a Socket 479 chip. On the right is a Socket M chip. Both sockets might have the same number of pins (hence the confusion), but you aren't going to get a Socket 479 chip into a Socket M or vice versa.

I mean, if you don't believe me, you can try it :)

That being said, I'd recommend a TC4200 to anyone looking for a cheap tablet :D

    Intriguing.

I'm with Wolf on this one, but feel free to test it out! It should be interesting.
