I was shopping at my local Fry's last night and found the HP Wireless Elite Keyboard and Mouse on sale for $39.99. Fry's website lists it at $64.24 but if you live close to a Fry's and need a wireless keyboard/mouse, you might want to check this out.
I purchased one and plan on going back tomorrow to buy a second one.
Great little keyboard and mouse combo. Low profile, sleek, and runs off of a wireless USB receiver. No extra little dongle to clutter up your desktop. I can't stand those little receiver things that have to sit on the desk with other wireless set ups.
A very similar keyboard/mouse combo, with wireless USB, came with my HP desktop system last year and it has worked flawlessly.

I'm replacing the newish wireless keyboard I have with my desktop replacement computer (Logitech S520) with this one. I like the form factor of this one so much more...low profile, no receiver sitting on my desk...
I'm gonna keep the second one as a backup in case my original HP desktop keyboard wears out. -
Great review:

I received this keyboard two days ago. Great little keyboard.
Not many low-profile (very slim!), wireless, full-sized keyboards with great quality for this price available. In fact, last time I checked (last year) there weren't any that were made for the PC below $60.
It is a beautiful keyboard. Simplicity matched with subtle details give this keyboard a sleek and timeless look. The feel is great, and the keys are very responsive. As a laptop user for most of my life it felt like heaven at my fingertips.
My only gripe is that the wireless USB attachment has a very bright blue LED that lights up everytime you type. I had it attached to the USB port on the side of my monitor and it annoyed me to the point of making me read the manual (which is a step-by-step picture book, btw), but I couldn't find anything. I found it had 'burned' into my eyes (temporarily of course), so I moved it to the back of my monitor and now my wall glows everytime I type at night. I might just have to wrap that thing with duct tape!
The CD installs a bright green PlaySkool-looking keyboard tray icon. Very ugly and quite disappointed that the software for this beautiful hardware would be so ugly... then again, I'm picky
Oh, and the sleep button is very tiny and at the top left corner. It's very close to being level with the base of the keyboard and doesn't have a tactile feel. It just 'mushes' down very slightly. I have my keyboard in the keyboard tray under my desk so it's a slight inconvenience compared to my other keyboard where the sleep button was easily found by touch. -
no need to use the CD, just plug and play. also, just put a piece of duct tape over the receiver if it bugs you.

hrm, is that the same keyboard as this thing?

so people have been saying that the mouse is not very useful because it lacks the forward/back buttons, so i guess if you want just the keyboard for this price, you can save yourself the driving. also, APP discount should apply to this as well. -
I'm not interested in paying the same price for just the keyboard when I can get a combo for that price.
