HP seems to be pushing Quad Core Sandy Bridge notebooks at the moment - $599 for an i7-2760QM/7470M dv6tqe. Nice hardware specs in a cheapo case.

I think we're starting to see the start of a big Sandy Bridge clearance, since excessive inventories of Sandy Bridge processors are supposedly delaying the launch of Ivy Bridge from April to June.

Bummer. I can understand a cancellation policy in the event that there is an obvious pricing mistake, but in this case, it looks like a deliberate promotion, not a mistake. I'd suggest pursuing the matter further with HP. Do a review on the Reseller Ratings and contact HP.
