I can vouch for the e-rebate. Got it in about a month. Wish it was $700 though.

No I bought a computer last week at Comp Usa and they were 10% off. But the Comp Usa add today has the computer I bought for 2599 instead of 2700 what I paid. Needless to say I emailed to see if I qualified for that price. I haven't recieved email back yet.

I bought one of these tonight to repalce a 6 year old Toshiba Satellite. There is actually $450.00 total off when you add up all of the rebates. They gave a 50.00 instant rebate at the register, then there is the ebate from CompUSA for 350.00 one of these prints out with purchase, and another "Smooth Sailing" rebate from HP that also prints out at the register for another 50.00. I just could not pass up all of what you get for the buck, and it truly was past time for me to upgrade. I have just finished the initial set up tonight. I will do a clean out later, of the junk that comes with the machine, then I am planing on doing the Belkin sync. So far I really like the way this machine feels. I owe a lot to the comments of this board for helping me make the decision to go for this deal.
Thanks all who discussed and shared their experiences.
