Saw this on Gizmodo yesterday. Great deal but sucks that they no longer offer the "nicer" screens.

The 6630 is not the greatest, but it's far from "crapy" [sic].

BTW, thanks for (not) replying to my PM about your copies of Rage already having been sold. Appreciate it.

Good specs or not, it still has really nice build quality for $700.

And to think the memory of the screen uproar is still fresh in my mind.

2 very different machines... I say Asus because I move around alot and portability is important to me. The Envy has great build quality and backlit keyboard *the asus may too* so maybe the envy is for you. Either way, they are both nice machines with the same resolution screens. My next big buy is going to have 3d or 1080p so I am pretty biased right now.

I ended up jumping on the deal, but I upgraded it for the i7. The Radeon HD6630m should be enough for me. I am currently working on a building a gaming tower and I wanted something else portable to replace my 5 year old Dell Inspiron 6400.
