    haha why thank you :)

Yeah I was gonna order one but I just got a new laptop and really didn't need it. You could make some profit on this but not too much...wasn't worth the hassle for me. Such an amazing deal though!

Nice. it seems to be the color change. If you don't upgrade the cpu but make the color change and use coupon it's $290.

ok i just noticed at the top in red it says. "Cannot order cart that has invalid prices." on the $290 . oh well..

It still looks like a good deal overall. How does this laptop compare to the new Asus ul80vt or ul50vt? Does it have a better graphics card for gaming?

The Y550 can be had up to a GT240M, so yes, better gaming and it does not heat according to some users.

This is a laptop that I am now seriously considering over the ul80vt or ul50vt because it seems to have more features compared to the aforementioned Asus models although the battery life (I think it has nearly 6 hours???) is probably not as good. Can the battery be upgraded to something that will add a couple of more hours of battery life?

As far as I can tell, this is currently the best deal for a laptop that is being offered with a coupon by a major company.

Serg, I don't see where the Y550 can be had up to a GT240M during the config process. Only one graphics card appears with no option to upgrade...

UPDATE: The Y550 can be purchased with a Gt240M on the Lenovo website, but not through their gift guide where it is offered with only the Intel GMA 4500 MHD graphics card.
