I wasn't able to get to Circuit City until 6, and by that time, my main item of interest, Garmin C340 GPS system for $350, was gone. However, I did get a 1GB SD card for $3 AR, plus some DV tapes, free AR. Also got a Netgear Super G router for $10 AR, good deal, too bad its recipient will not be using a Super G adapter, so it's just a cheap router as far as I'm concerned. My best deal was $200 for a 5.5G 30GB iPod at TJ Maxx of all places, which may actually be their super low everyday price, unadvertised in any way shape or form. They got other iPods for good prices as well, if anyone's looking for a present... I think 80GB was $280, that's $70 off retail!

I also got a whole buncha good TV shows for $10-15 a season. I even accidentally got 2 copies of Entourage Season 2 in all the excitement! But I think instead of returning it, I'll try to make an even exchange Sunday for Arrested Development Season 2 to make my AD set complete for what'll be only $40.

Overall, I'm pretty happy, though I now have to be on the lookout for deals for that Garmin, arg! The nearest CC that has it in stock is over 2 hrs away, and the cheapest online is $420 on Amazon! Oh well :D

So, how did everyone else make out?

I didn't get what I really wanted. I wanted to get a widescreen LCD monitor from Best Buy, but it was sold out by the time I got inside. But I did manage to get a WD My Book 250 GB external hard drive for $80 and a 2 GB micro usb flash drive for $30. The external hard drive was gone on the shelf but I found one near the monitors when I was looking around so I just took it.

Then I went to other stores to check out the prices of the monitors, they all suck. Circuit City was the other good one. I can't remember if they had it when I got there but it was like $400 and then $150 mail in rebate. I dislike the mail in rebate because I want instant savings. So, I went home looked around online and couldn't find any better deals. Went back to CC and it was sold out, darn! So now I'm gonna get a LG 19" for $220 at Best Buy.

Yeah, I got Olivia HDTV 37" for $699 & a Seagate 500GB HDD for $150 from FRY's and a Kodak 7.1MP Camera for $139 from Costco, it was the last one. I couldn't get an external harddrive from Staples though, **** those ebayers. I got to FRY's around 4:50AM and there was like 2000 people inline already, but I got what I wanted.

Well I didn't really know what to look for or have anything in mind that I needed to spend cash on, but I did end up getting a 200GB 7200rpm HDD for $19 AR from Staples. I thought about snatching up a 20" widescreen Samsung flat panel monitor for $179, but passed on it because I don't really need it. It seemed to me that Staples had the best deals around, since the Circuit City in my area is extremely small and were out of most of their sale products by the time I got there. The Staples sales were supposed to end at 10:00 a.m. but I got mine at noon and they gave me the deals.

In hindsight, I should have grabbed up some SD cards and USB flash drives because they were so cheap. But, again, coming up on Christmas and not really needing the items.. I passed. I'd like it if I could find a great deal on a 10 GB Cruzer Mini, but I don't even think that SD makes them. I'd like to be able to carry around that much multimedia storage on my keychain.

Only bought stuff at BB, cause of instant rebates only.

    250GB WD MyBook external hdd
1GB SanDisk MS Pro Duo for my CyberShot
bunch of movies (FnF tokyoD, Wimbledon, SpiderMan, etc) for $5 each
and I think thats it. I wanted to get the Samsung widescreen monitor, but I went pretty late (5:30) and I already have a sweet 19" Sony LCD, so it wasnt important.

I got everything I wanted, so I am happy.

I camped out at Best Buy from 8am Thurs. I left the store with 3 emachines, 3 Toshiba notebooks, 2 HP notebooks, 2-22" widescreen Westinghouse monitors, 19" Samsung widescreen flat panel, 2-250GB Western Digital external HD, 2-2GB flash drives, 2-7" Westinghouse digital photo frames, Samsung mini-camcorder, Kodak camera, 2GB SD card.

Everything is being sold except for the 19", photo frames and one flash drive. :)

This is where the funds for my future Macbook are coming.

    EDIT:
Did I mention that I was #1 in line? :-D
