    How often does Sony release promotions/coupons?

    As shown in topic title question, I just wanted to know how often Sony releases coupons. I've taken a special interest to the Sony Vaio Y-series ULV. Is there any chance they'll have another $100 off or similar coupon available around the May-August 12 period?

    I'm sure there will be promotions at that time. Sony has to keep up with the masses and by then the new i5 CULVs will be out. So notebooks like this may be even cheaper.

    BTW - I am planning on buying one around the same time unless a screaming deal occurs earlier.

    They often have small deals, though rarer for their laptops. But I know of a 50 dollar off coupon for the VAIO SZ series at the very least.

    They just had $100 deal on Y series VAIO... By August, they'll most likely offer different configuration. And I'm pretty sure they'll stop offering the old one when it's refreshed. (Most of the companies do it at least.)

    It's a bit too early to buy at the moment. If it were May, I'd be buying right now!

    I'm not so sure they'll refresh it without giving several months of prior notice. Google news shows they released 2 new Vaio E series with hardware upgrades. The new Vaio S-series notebook falls within my weight but is $2,000+. I haven't heard any word of any Sony Vaio Y-series replacements. No lightweight CULV successors.

    I'll be looking around daily though. Cheers! :D
