Apple MacBook Pro MA897LL/A 17" Laptop (2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 GB RAM, 160 GB Hard Drive, DVD/CD SuperDrive) - 2344 AR

Macbook Pro's come with Tiger Installed and a Leopard DVD in the box. They also include iLife 06 and have a matte screen.

    MacBook's:

Apple MacBook MB061LL/B 13.3" Laptop (2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, 1 GB RAM, 80 GB Hard Drive, Combo Drive) White - 919 AR

Apple MacBook MB062LL/B 13.3" Laptop (2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, 1 GB RAM, 120 GB Hard Drive, 8x SuperDrive) White - 1069 AR

Wow, if they were priced like that before I bought my HP, I would totally get those. Oh well.

I trust in Amazon rebates. I have used at least 50 of them and they all come in at most two months.

I bet the refurbs look as good as new. They also come with a 1-year warranty, just like a new ones.

Yeah, but a refurb is still different from a new. A refurb has had a problem before and Apple fixed it. Do you want a new laptop with no problems or a used laptop with a problem that was fixed.

Definitely something to consider when you're plunking down +/-$1500.
