you know those rebates may never come.

 

I trust in Amazon rebates. I have used at least 50 of them and they all come in at most two months.

 

2.2GHz MBPs are $1,449.00 at the Apple.com refurb section.

 

But that's a refurb. This is new.

 

I bet the refurbs look as good as new. They also come with a 1-year warranty, just like a new ones.

 

Yeah, but a refurb is still different from a new. A refurb has had a problem before and Apple fixed it. Do you want a new laptop with no problems or a used laptop with a problem that was fixed.

 

Definitely something to consider when you're plunking down +/-$1500.
