I have IL-2 1946 and it's an awesome game! I'd say it's definitely worth $4.99 to get it.

Definitely worth $4.99. One of the best WWII combat flight games/sims ever. Good thing is that it runs even on older integrated graphics and you can fly with the keyboard, although I'd advise against it!

I fly with the keyboard, and it's rough! Most of the time I can't get off the ground haha!

Yeah, I put it on my netbook and obviously don't tote around a joystick with me. However I do have an old Saitek gamepad with a throttle on it that works marginally well. But I have flown whole missions by keyboard. Not ideal but it gets the job done! :p

That'll be the day! I could just imagine people wiring keyboards in their little prop planes and flying around with that, lol.

As my flight instructor always told me, "a good landing is when you can you can walk away from the plane, a great landing is when you can use the plane again."
