I suggest the Compaq V4000T. It's customizable and right now they have a 300$ instant savings, 50$ mail in rebate, a mail in rebate for an 80$ all-in-one printer, and free (5-7 day) shipping. You can get it with a Radeon X700 for around 849.99.

    I bought mine with:

    Intel(R) Pentium(R) M Processor 740 (1.73 GHz)
    15.4" WXGA BrightView Widescreen (1280x800)
    128MB ATI MOBILITY(TM) RADEON(R) X700
256MB DDR2 SDRAM (1x256MB) (Save money buying it seperate)
40 GB 4200 RPM Hard Drive

That for around 1,023$ (with tax)
Then i got the printer, cause you can't pass up a free printer (I have about 5 unopened printers at my house, and 3 open)

    Thanks Solidus, great deal.

Good idea getting the memory aftermarket, save a good deal of money like that.

I've been looking at that over and over on hp.com

I'm still waiting for them to put an AMD turion w/an x700. Hopefully in a 14 inch.
