Note: I see the other thread for this drive with a cheaper price but that offer involves a rebate... i thought this was a good price too and wanted to share it with everyone.

But even if you don't send in the rebate on the other one, that deal would be $169, $10 less than this one....
-
Doesn't seem *that* cheap to me. I thought decent prices are around $100 for 60GB, $200 for 120GB ?

These drives are a bit on the higher end on the terms of overall performance. I've had two and they are pretty good.
-
Well I mean so are latest SSDs with the Sandforce controller.
No idea if there's actually any real-world difference...
-
They might be catching up, but I am still pretty satisfied with what Intel offers.
-
Yeah *might* be catching up...

But on the serious side, I think both are really good drives. I bought 2 of the Sandforce-based drives, simply because they were more affordable. Intel will release their G3 drives soon, but the question is - at what price. -
But Sandforce seems to have some reliability issues that somewhat negates the performance advantage:

This isn't a great deal for Intel since it's still over $2/GB, if you look around you can find it for as low as $150...
