I am planning to buy the HP dv2700t (specs below) for $980 during the HP 4th of July sale. The normal price would be $1200 for this configuration. I am not in a huge hurry, so is it likely that I would be able to find a much better deal than this in the next month or so? I saw that I just missed a $500 off coupon. Are they available often? Any input would be great.

    I'd probably wait...
I've been eyeballing possibly doing a dv2700t, because I like the 14.1" size, and although the 8400M GS is not exactly a framerate-machine, it is better than X3100 integrated graphics.

That being said, if you don't need it *NOW*, I would wait...

There's also one model in the retail channel, that might end up getting clearanced-out at CC/BB in the near future when the next generation dv4 comes out later July/August.

Waiting never hurts with electronics as long as you have time. :)

As for the coupons, there are some HP coupons that come on this site, but I think quite rarely are they as much as $500 as far as I have seen. :(
