Yes, I know there's some kind of partnership with Notebook Review, but I would like to hear about actual experiences if anybody has to share. :)

I was browsing uBid and looking into old ultraportables such as the Dell D400 and some ThinkPads... but listings have no actual pictures of the items and all bear the same "MAY have minor cosmetic imperfections" kind of warning. I find that thoroughly unacceptable for any serious marketplace dealing with used goods, no matter how many units they deal with.

So I'm wondering, is it customary to get pieces of dirt from uBid, or are they really good machines with the occasional, rare lemon thrown in?

Thanks in advance to all who could help. :)
