    I'm very anti-steam.

Now I know. Any other companies I should watch out for?

I've been playing the COD series on the console. Believe it or not I prefer the WWII stuff.

Best way to think of Steam is a console for the PC...except its free.

Yeah but having a security hole on my console is much different than my PC. Security is a delusion but that doesn't me we should leave the door open. ;)

I've never heard of, nor experienced, security issues with Steam?

I love steam because I can buy games at discounted price and just download them.

My only problem with the service is the inability to transfer games to different accounts. For example, if I buy a game pack with a game I already own, I can't re-gift/send that to my brother or a friend. Or sell my game used. That is quite annoying.

steam is not really a security risk.

L4D2 or any of the online games you play are a bigger security risk than steam... you have to broadcast your IP address to strangers for one thing.

Unless you think valve is going to big brother you, steam, at least, doesn't publicize any of your otherwise private information.
