The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    got my laptop today

    i am surprised at how much pre-installed stuff they have in here!!! it's almost giving me a headache trying to figure out what's useful and what isn't :eek:

    I have to say running this on a 1gb is pretty slow especially starting up and shutting down. i'm glad i have another 2gb on the way, hopefully it will boost performance!

    I feel you man. :( This is a great thread though.

    Anybody know how long this deal lasts? I'm sure there will be more after it regardless.
