I used to play WoW on my Aspire 4730z with the 4500 on medium settings and I got around 50 FPS. I stopped playing before any of the expansions, however.

Hate to say it, but you can get better at Best Buy. Although maybe the build quality of this is better than the Gateway I saw. The Gateway had 4 GB memory and 320 GB hard drive, plus an ATI HD 3200, for the same price. I hope you get the free W7 upgrade with this as well. :)

Huh, the Gateway has better ports too, like HDMI. And a full sized keyboard. (Sorry to rain on your deal Cin) :(

the reviews of this laptop all say it's very well built, that was my main priority

only thing that bugs me is having to pay $17 shipping for w7, i am cheap!!!

Solid deal at $500. Of the G530 models this is the one to get (highest specs available for this range) although NewEgg is a bit misleading on the retail: it's 599 on Lenovo's site, not 649. Better machine than the G550 that has succeeded it.

You should consider yourself rather lucky to even get a windows 7 upgrade. It is not legitimately possible to upgrade from windows xp to windows 7. Business wise it was pretty dumb for them to offer this option.

yes i'm confused I get vista business discs but xp comes preloaded (???)

i've had horrible experiences with vista so i was planning on going back to xp initially. but after reading some pretty good reviews i'm definitely making the switch to w7.
