the processor and HD are both nice...

But for $900 you can manage to get a lot more with the help of this board.

Newegg support have directed me to Lenovo to confirm the 3 year international warranty. I am interested about this product - how can I be sure I wold be getting this before ordering (international and 3yrs are very improtant to me).

Look up the model# in the tabook which is located in the sticky at the top of the lenovo forum or ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/pc/pcinstitute/psref/tabook.pdf

I checked the warranty status online with Lenovo with the serial # and the expiration is Expiration date: 2010-08-24 which is not quite 3 years.I am sure it is new and not refurb but the expiry date has me scratching my head.

Is there any way to find out before ordering. Newegg don't want to help me out with this, they say contact Lenovo.

Also, is RAM in 1 DIMM?

I think the warranty means 3 years after date of shipment. At least I think it was that way, there was a thread on this a while back.

    Edit: here's the thread.

Ram is 1 Dimm, buy a 2 gig stick for 3 gigs total.
Perhaps newegg could give you a serial number and you can do a warranty
lookup. However according to the Tabook that model comes with 3 year international warranty. The unit I received has international warranty.
