Hey everybody...(Sorry I should have posted this here earlier. Posted it another forum because I didn't realize this forum existed. My bad.)

American Express has this new promotion every Tuesday during the month of September. Each week they are selling a limited number of a certain electronic item at up to 50 percent off the price. The only catch is that you have to sign in to the American Express Network promotions site, and you must have an American Express card, or an American Express-branded card.
The more people that log in that day, the price gets forced down more and more. You have to decide your "tipping" point, whether you will buy at that price, or hold on and wait for it to go lower, with them possibly all being bought up while you wait. You are not obligated to buy anything if you participate, though.

This last week they were offering a black Flip Mino. The price started at 180. I did research and the lowest price I could find online was in the 140 something range. I participated...held out...they had 200 units...and jumped in when the price got to 90 bucks. Pretty good deal for a Flip Mino camcorder.

This coming week they are doing the same with 60 units of the Lenovo Thinkpad Y730. I don't know if I am going to participate as I have enough laptops, but it will be fun to watch.

The link is below. Might be a good deal for somebody, especially if the price gets down to 50 percent (I don't know what the starting price is, though. That will be revealed when the thing starts.) Again, I was not obligated to buy just by participating.

Good luck if you are going to check it out!

    People are idiots.

5 people bought so far, and the price is only at 852. It's moving fast.

I wouldn't buy until there were about 10 units left AND if the price was in the 60 percent range, at least.

Can't believe people would buckle so fast.

    Sold out at 679.

I have enough laptops. If it had gone down into the 500's, I would have jumped.
