    From what I've heard it's one of the better TN panels out there. Not as bad as the Y50. However, I haven't found any information on compatible IPS screen replacements. It wouldn't be hard to find one. For compatibility these are the three panels it can have:

    AUO B140HTN01.4 FHD
    CMI N140HGE-EAA FHD
    BOE HB140FH1-401 FHD

    AFAIK all Lenovo laptops use Samsung. Is this correct?

    EDIT: Confirmation: Y40 has Samsung SSD.
