That's a 4GB USB flash drive repackaged into the Expressscard form factor. It won't use the Expresscard/PCIe bus, but instead will use the USB port built into the Expresscard connector. Still, it's cheap and may be useful as a Readyboost drive or for other specialized uses.

I added it to my cart but I'm hoping the 8GB will drop in price like this one as it has multiple times in the past after the 4GB.

Ive never even heard of express card SSD before....wow you really learn something new everyday.........

It's insanely slow. It's basically a limited-use USB storage stick.
-
It looks like it'll make for a good backup storage unit, though I want to buy the 8 GB version and its sold out at the moment

Awesome!! will get
Thanks!

This actually does make an awesome readyboost drive for a notebook. It fits flush, so you can just leave it in, and the random access time is under .5ms. Yea, the transfer rate is only like 30MB/s, but it still has a better performance aspect than most usb flash drives. I have a feeling that this is actually pretty decent quality memory, hampered by the USB interface.

Have you ever attempted to use it as a Readyboost? That sounds neat.
