These headphones are great for gaming and tuning out everything around you for the most part.

In my new digs, space is a premium and I no longer have the luxury of a loud speaker set. In addition, external noise is increased.

These headphones cover everything. Excellent surround sound and noise canceling (but not overboard).

    Love these things for WoW

The G35 works great, but it is BIG. My wife laughed at me when she saw it - she thinks I look like a helicopter pilot.

If you are looking for something low profile, this aint it.

Yeah, the idea is to comfortably cover the ear (which they do) to naturally dampen outside noise.

True, you do look like you should be waving in an airplane with them on, heh.

With very few exceptions, I advise against mixing wireless with gaming, especially with things like headsets.

I have to agree for gaming wired is still the best bet unless you are willing to spend big money. I have the g35 and love them. My kids could be screaming and making all sorts of noises and I don't hear a thing. The immersion aspect is also very good. The only thing I don't like is the presets for the voice morph. I wish there was a way to use the side buttons to turn it off.

Well, the problem with wired is obvious- I sit at least 8 feet away from the HDTV and my little one gets curious with the spaghetti on the floor. Heck, the little snot yanks on my wireless headset (a "cheap" no name brand) and giggles at the sounds it makes as the earmuffs slaps my head.

"Gaming"... "Surround Sound"... USB... In general, these are all signs of a very bad pair of headphones.

For gaming headphones, the Audio Technica ATH AD700 is highly recommended. IMO, Logit3ch should discontinue this immediately to save their reputation.

received this headset about a week ago. it's very comfortable if not a bit large, as rhystar has mentioned. i'm not a die hard audiophile so the sound quality is great but i find the bass to be a little bit lacking in power. the microphone is very sensitive and my voice is crystal clear. buttons on the left side allows you to preset three separate settings, along with a volume rocker and a mute button for the microphone (although microphone can be automatically set to mute when the boom is raised). the woven cables, two extra leather head paddings and 2 year warranty are a nice touch.

as a big, loyal fan of logitech products, i would have to say this is a good product, although i probably wouldn't spend $100 to purchase it. this was actually a birthday gift from my best friend, and he purchased two (one for himself) when amazon offered it for $80 with a $20 mail in rebate. I would say $60-80 is a fine value for this headset. it definitely makes games like Left 4 Dead 2 more enjoyable when playing with friends.

Not sure why you say that...many of the best gaming headsets have virtual surround features and USB connectivity. The G35, the Razer Megalodon, the Plantronics GameCom 777, for instance. I personally use the Razer Carcharias, the Megalodon's stereo counterpart, with 3.5mm audio in/out plugs instead of USB, and sound quality is excellent. Besides, the AD700 lacks a microphone, which is half of what makes a headset what it is, and not just a pair of headphones.

Have you even heard a pair of Logitech G35's?
