FHDSLFJSK. Would this last 7 hours until I can get home?

EDIT: Er, thought it was $40. Still good deal though.

Good price on the mouse (about $10 off normal), although that "free copy" of star trek is just a 10-day trial requiring a credit card and automatically bills you at the end of the 10 days. Just as a heads up for you thinking its really a "free" game

G9X is the best mouse I've ever used out of the 7 gaming mice I've owned/used.

STO (Star Trek Online) is a great game for 3-4 months of casual play. There's not much end-game besides dailies, however -- but they do release content patches every few months.

Edit: Forgot to add that the warranty is superb. Mine lasted about 1 year before the cord became loose. I contacted Logitech and they 2-day shipped me a brand new replacement for free AND they pay for the return of your broken mouse. Best warranty in the business.

    I believe the G9X has a 3 year warranty too :)

Overall, the mouse and support is so good, I'd never consider another mouse.

Thanks for the info! Technically though, the actual game is free. You are receiving a free copy of the Star Trek Online MMO via a download from Cryptic Studios' site. You are also being given 10-days of free play, whereupon at the end of the 10-day period, you have the option of subscribing to a monthly fee to continue playing the game.

Does this make the game no longer "free"? Probably not, looking at it from a consumers point of view. But the promise was for a free game (a $22 value according to Newegg), and that's what you're getting as far as Newegg is concerned. As far as being automatically billed at the end of the 10-day period, one can simply decline to automatically subscribe to the service after registering for, and setting up your account.

I was looking for a good mouse for the past few days; looked at the Razer DeathAdder, Logitech M400, and Microsoft Sidewinder X8. The G9x easily tops my list, and when I saw this, I jumped on it. Thanks man :)

    :D

I'll be honest, I'm using the G9, and I'm seriously contemplating jumping on this deal as well even though the difference between the two is very minor. The price is just crazy good!

I'm surprised that my tracking number says mine is being shipped today, especially since I'm use to waiting at least four days for my stuff. It's even weirder since my G9x is only part of my order last night (I also bought a Rosewill webcam and a Thermaltake BlacX HDD dock). Newegg rocks!

EDIT: Maybe it's because of the rush processing I ordered (there was a $5 promo code on the webcam, so why not? lol) and because my items are being shipped from New Jersey, which is a "short" drive down I-95 to my town haha.

just got mine and it's going to take a while to adjust to the new mouse. ordered mine like around 3pm and it was shipped out at 6pm. i live in new york and whenever i order from new egg, they usually ship it out on the same day and it's delivered on the next day even with 3 day ups shipping with no rush service.

Just to reaffirm what others have posted:

The game is "free", but it does require a subscription.
This is a 10 day trial, which wasn't worth my while to activate, regardless of my curiosity.

I got the game along with my G35 headset. (Uncomfortable by the way). And I would have just rather had the $10 the game is worth discounted from my items price.

Hmm. I still have a G9, which is perfectly fine except for the anti-snag braiding on the cord coming apart. I really, really feel like jumping on this, but I already have a G700 and a MS Habu sitting around with no love. Hrm.

Eh, still waiting for mine. Right now it says it's in Philly, which I don't understand since I live only six hours away from there, maybe 7 from Newegg's NJ warehouse. ETA is tomorrow

You must give in to the urge! Without doing so, you will be unable to pwn n00bs more effectively! But seriously, I have the G9 as well, and as tempting as it is, I think I will hang on a little while longer and see what Logitech has in store for their next iteration of wired G-series mice. :D
