Either 5400 or 7200 , it doesn`t matter, but I need it to be at least 320 Gb.
If you`ve seen any good deals or know any, please post a link.
    Much appreciated.

I think in the bargains section they had a Hitachi 320GB 5400RPM drive for $60 after MIR.

Hey zfactor... are you sure that the cache sizes are the same with the Simpletech and WD? I thought the Simpletech external drives only came with 2MB of cache as opposed to the 8MB that the WD (3200BEVT) has.
Can you double check that the model/serials are the same?
    Thanks.

craigslist for the 5400. i see these locally all the time for $100 or less, new. i passed on 2 new 320 and 1 250 drives for $180 in hopes the 500gb drives be flooded to consumers soon.

The 500Gb 5400 will be just as fast as the 320 Gb 5400, since it`s with an added platter only...And it will cost much more.
