you can find better deals for 720p HDTV's, even for samsung or lg's. i purchased my samsung LN32B360 last august for about $400 and the deals are much better these days.

there were a few good deals on LG's 1080p's for $470 and Sharp's this week but it looks like they are either OOS or over. check slickdeals or gizmodo's gadget deals of the day daily to find them. there seems to be a good deal on samsung, lg's, sharp and panasonic weekly.

if brand is not of concern, here is a Vizio 37 inch 1080p

only problem is the low contrast ratio.

if 1080p is really unnecessary, i'm sure you can find 32" 720p's cheap

I believe right now Dell has a 32" Vizio for 349.99. Check the 10 Days of Deal on the Dell website.

Vizio is crud though, seriously crud. My friend has a 37" Vizio and when he see's my 37" Westinghouse he wants to cry because the quality is not even comparable, and Westinghouse is a cheap brand itself.

Well, I let my parents pick out their own TV. I told them to get a 32", they came home with a 26". I was like "Uhm.. is that a TV for the cat?" They love it though, and I guess that's all that matters ;).

agreed, if my budget didn't allow for a top tier hdtv brand like Samsung, LG, Panasonic, etc. i would have no problems purchasing Vizio. a few of my friends have Vizio's and the quality looks great.
